Election of Michael Schneider as ESTIF Member
Michael Schneider as the TiSUN Sales Manager for Iberia has been elected with a great majority during the General Assembly, as the new Member of the Board of the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF).
Michael Schneider, a Swedish national, holds a Swedish and Spanish Bachelor Degree in Business and Administration and a MBA in Marketing and Sales on Internet. He has been involved in the Solar Thermal business for more than seven years and has earlier played an active role in ESTIF, participating in the Steering Committee in the Solar Thermal Technology Platform (ESTTP).
In his nomination speech Michael Schneider pointed out the importance of building a strong solar thermal association in order to make the solar thermal voice heard throughout Europe. Vital decisions for the future are made just now and solar thermal just has to be a strong player in the climate change debate. The most important goals are the so-called 20/20/20; 20% reduction of the CO2 emissions and a 20% share of renewable energy in Europe’s final energy consumption by 2020.
During his talk Michael Schneider also thanked the former Board of Member, Robin Welling General Manager of TiSUN, for his excellent job and his great achievements in ESTIF.
The European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (www.estif.org) represents manufacturers, service providers and national solar associations. Uniting more than 100 members from 19 countries, ESTIF represents over 95% of the European market for solar thermal products. The association coordinates the European Solar Days campaign and biennially runs estec, the world’s largest international conference on Solar Thermal. ESTIF is also a founding member of EREC, the European Renewable Energy Council.
For more than 20 years TiSUN has manufactured solar collectors and hot water cylinders for the rough reality: TiSUN solar systems offer 100% independent, unlimited and free energy for heating, cooling, hot water production and process heat. All our products are designed and manufactured in Tyrol, Austria, and we export 83 % of our goods. We are solar thermal experts and one of the innovators and market leaders, employing 131 people at our headquarters in Tyrol and 90 sales people in Europe. In 2008 TiSUN opened a branch in New Jersey, USA. Our products are sold in 39 markets across Europe, North and South America, North and Southern Africa and in the Middle East.
