"The children of Saniob have it nice and warm now"
At the beginning of 2011 the Lower Austrian politician Dr. Stephan Pernkopf promised his help to the non-profit association AURO DANUBIA, who has supported the Romanian orphanage for years. To reduce the high cost of electricity for water heating, solar heating systems needed to be installed in the children's home. Only a few weeks later, various companies and volunteers had been found, who were willing to support the project - among them TiSUN GmbH.
By the end of March 2011 a special transport of aid workers and relief supplies (value: 40,000.00 EUR) drove to Saniob in order to hand over the donations and mount the solar panels. Since then, three thermal hot water supply systems provide germ-free water for 43 children aged 4 to 19 years.
"Since 2009 we have supported charitable projects," says Robin M. Welling, TiSUN Managing Director for Sales, customer service and logistics. He is pleased that the assistance for the Romanian children's home could be provided so quickly: "Our partner company Schober & Wirgler was informed about the project and immediately asked if we would be willing to sponsor collectors. We found the project very interesting and pledged our participation. The installation was finally done by Schober & Wirgler. "
The volunteers worked on the setup of the solar energy plants until two o’ clock in the morning.
‘The children of Saniob have it nice and warm now,’ says Dr. Stephan Pernkopf, the initiator of the project. ‘I would like to say a heartfelt “thank you” to all volunteers and donors.’ Apart from the solar system, Austrian companies contributed various farming machines and clothing to the Romanian children's home.
TiSUN has been developing, producing and selling complete systems for the utilisation of solar heating energy for over two decades. The solar systems provide 100% independent, infinitely available, free solar energy for backup heating, water heating, process heat and cooling. Known as Europe's solar heating specialist, TiSUN has an export quota of 83%. The company employs a workforce of 120 at the main location in Tyrol/Austria and 90 sales personnel in Europe. TiSUN products are available in 44 markets in the EU27 and candidate countries, Switzerland, the former CIS states, the USA, MENA and India. All serially produced solar collectors feature multiple certifications. In addition to the Solar Keymark, which is valid across Europe, and the Austria Solar Seal of Quality, quality certifications from five other countries confirm the high standard of the products. The ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Test Certificate verifies that both product and service quality levels are especially high. Since 2010, the company has also been certified under the international environmental management standard ISO 14001.
