Verdo-Group focuses on TiSUN products

Convincing the world of renewable energies and creating independence from fossil fuels – are two goals the Austrian solar thermal specialist TISUN and the energy expert Verdo have set. In 2012 the Verdo Group distributes the high-quality TiSUN solar systems as an exclusive dealer for the markets of Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

The Danish-based multi-utility company Verdo was formerly a traditional energy business. Today, Verdo not only produces and distributes water, electricity and heat but also provides security, high speed internet, television and telephone services, electrician service, energy counselling as well as buying and selling biofuels. In addition to the company headquarter in Denmark, Verdo has established the subsidiary Verdo Renewables near London. The Group has developed biomass technology for production of electricity and is one of the leading companies in the biofuel industry.

The Danish market for solar thermal energy will grow significantly in the following years. The "Danish Solar Association" estimates that from 2011 to 2020 about 200.000 new solar installations will be built in Denmark. "Virtually every newly built home will be equipped with a solar plant to reduce the CO2 emissions," explains Claus Falk, Managing Director for Verdo Entreprise A/S. He is also pleased about the cooperation. "With the new synergy between TiSUN Verdo and we are ready for the market growth. We have much experience with pellet heating systems - TiSUN helps us to expand this expertise with knowledge of the solar thermal industry.”

All TiSUN collectors are certified with the European quality mark for Solar Keymark. The high quality of the products and the product variety were only two reasons why Verdo chose to focus on this partnership. Verdo wants to distribute the solar heating systems both, in the B2B market and in the private retail market.

TiSUN has been developing, producing and selling complete systems for the utilisation of solar heating energy for over two decades. The solar systems provide 100% independent, infinitely available, free solar energy for backup heating, water heating, process heat and cooling. Known as Europe's solar heating specialist, TiSUN has an export quota of 83%. The company employs a workforce of 120 at the main location in Tyrol/Austria and 90 sales personnel in Europe. TiSUN products are available in 44 markets in the EU27 and candidate countries, Switzerland, the former CIS states, the USA, MENA and India. All serially produced solar collectors feature multiple certifications. In addition to the Solar Keymark, which is valid across Europe, and the Austria Solar Seal of Quality, quality certifications from five other countries confirm the high standard of the products. The ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Test Certificate verifies that both product and service quality levels are especially high. Since 2010, the company has also been certified under the international environmental management standard ISO 140001.
